Living with scoliosis can often cause terribly debilitating pain, and in most cases, scoliosis goes undiagnosed for years until the deformity becomes all too clear to hide. For myself, I was properly diagnosed at the age of nine and it was a really tough reality to face, especially since I felt like I was the only person going through this.
Luckily, a new generation of people are finally starting to talk opening about scoliosis, making it easier to find others who are also growing up with scoliosis. I recently took a look at the hashtag #GrowingUpWithScoliosis and found so many of the tweets incredibly relatable.
If you are growing up with scoliosis, you are probably facing some of these 15 all-too-real struggles.
